First Step Supported Living Services (FSSLS) provides services to adults over the age of 18 who have developmental disabilities. Our agency's focus is to provide services for individuals who have been under-served in the past.

It is the goal of FSSLS to provide excellent supported living services to persons with multiple and severe disabilities. In the past, for these individuals, living in their own homes in their own communities was not an option. These adults were usually served in group homes, nursing homes, or other large congregate living situations.

We currently provide supported living services for 19 individuals, both males and females, who range in age from 18-32 years old. All of the people we serve have severe and profound disabilities, most with dual diagnosis including significant mental health disabilities. In addition, several of our consumers are Deaf or hearing impaired and require the use of American Sign Language to communicate.

Finally we also serve adults who require total care due either  to their severe physical disabilities or significant cognitive delays.
